Lee strasberg said that seventy five percent of great art is hard work and about twenty five percent is talent, nowadays actors with zero talent like Dwayne johnson put their 100% of hard work into their art with zero perfect talent. I will rephrase Strasberg’s quote and make my own:

“Acting is the act of being in the industry”

And however you make it, once you are in, you are in, anybody can make it in hollywood nowadays, from individuals like Bad Bunny, Eugenio derbez (A genius in mexico, not soo much in the US but he still made it), even Cardi B, anybody can be an actor. Acting is not sacred anymore, acting isn’t about talent, sacrifice, acting is about hard work and while i criticize individuals previously mentioned, they worked hard to be where they are now. Anybody can be nominated for an oscar as well, the oscars were never fair, dozens and dozens of great roles were omitted by the academy throughout history and many nominated actors lost against inferior performances (Brad pitt winning best supporting actor in 2019, beating Joe Pesci), if you want to be an actor, even if you believe that you don’t have talent, you can be an actor, you just need to audition a lot, don’t worry, the make-up department will take care of you (Austin Butler in Elvis, Gary Oldman in The darkest hour).
