Avatar: The way of water hits 1 billion mark

I am not amused by how much money movies make, the money isn’t for me so why should i care? Why should we care how much revenue the studios make? That’s their problem, that’s their goal. As long as the film is a masterpiece then i watch a movie, this CGI fisted fiasco aint it. Let’s not forget that the first avatar got its ass beat by a 15 million budget/50 million revenue indie war film called ‘The Hurt Locker’ and my friends, this year will be the same. As far as The Oscars, I don’t care about watching award ceremonies, they are irrelevant and tend to lead with favoritism instead of Realism (I used to watch those shows, meaning that Mickey Rourke deserved that year’s oscar, they were not realists). I still remember James Cameron’s face when ‘The Hurt locker’ won best picture (in perhaps the greatest upset for some people) and his face when he encountered Bigelow behind the scenes of the ceremony that night. It’s funny and absurd, illogical and irrelevant how the news get excited when a movie makes that much money, as I typed before; Good for whom? I don’t care, do you care? Does it change the way you view the film? Does it make the film better? As far as the article posted on Variety, what is a fashion magazine doing writting reviews on films?! And yes, variety is pretty much like Cosmopolitan.
