Carlo Collodi wrote Pinocchio in 1881, part of his ‘Giornale per i bambini’ (A newspaper article). Collodi talks about prostitution, cannibalism and murder (Pinocchio kills Jiminy cricket with a hammer, Pinocchio also dies in the original story). Nothing ever seen in the expropiated disney version will ever imagine the grotesque and violent nature of the original story. Just in the past 5 years, we have seen dozens of different versions of the Disney Pinocchio but nobody has the balls to make a film about the real story. I give the disney version a ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 (The animation is superb) mostly going with the fact that Disney converted it into an animated film, other than that, the Disney version is nothing more than another Disney movie full of fantasy and happy endings, wich is not bad, we already have enough violence in this world right?
